MACHER-KENNEDY
Elizabeth Susan Kennedy and Richard Henry Macher were married May 15, 1993,
in St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Rev. Dr. Robert Copenhaver and Rev. Lloyd
Lipscomb officiating. The reception was held at the home of the bride and
groom in Salem. The maid of honor was Heather Ann Kennedy, sister of the
bride. Bridesmaids were Blair Kennedy and Brennan Kennedy, sisters of the
bride, Pam Polson, Sandy Conway and Connie Clark, friends of bride. The
flowergirl was Caitlin Conway. Best man was Richard Frye, a friend. Ushers
included Richard Conway, Andy Stowasser, Bill Spazante, Tim Simi and Glenn
Dillard, all friends. Ringbearers were Roland Macher and Michael Albrecht. The
acolyte was Daniel Hack. Guestbook was attended by Francie Stowasser. The
bride's gown was ivory silk shantung with handmade lace. She carried a bouquet
of ivory and white roses with ivy. The bride is the daughter of Mr. Stephen H.
Kennedy of Salem and Mrs. Ann Pitka of Augusta, Ga. She graduated from E. C.
Glass High School in Lynchburg, Va., and from Radford University. The bride is
employed by J. B. Brokerage, Richmond, Va. The groom is the son of Mrs. Shakie
Macher of Harrisonburg and the late Mr. Roland Macher. He graduated from
Virginia Tech. He owns and runs Macado's, Inc. The newlyweds will live in
Salem, Va., after a wedding trip to the Caribbean.
