ROBINSON-DICKENS

Amanda Lyvette Dickens and Gerald F. "Rob" Robinson, Jr. were united in marriage on May 1st, 1993 at the home of Dr. and Mrs. C.R. Woodford of Smith Mountain Lake, Moneta, Va. Dr. Gregory Adkins officiated the ceremony.

The outdoor wedding of 75 degreesin temperature was intimate withapproximately sixty guests. Special music was sung by songwriter and guitarist, Mr. Steve Jones and musicians, Jerry andSusan Sayers. The pine trees wereadorned with fuchsia and lavender bows and all flowers were highlighted with bright pinks and lavenders. The wedding cake sat on a pretty heart shaped table dressed with hot pink and covered with white lace. All other tables were filled with food and beverages for all. What a lovely and tranquil day for Amanda and Rob to be married.

Mrs. Tammy MacDonnell, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor, and the bridesmaid was Miss Melissa Bower. Both were dressed in fuchsia. Miss Katherine A. Hastings was the flowergirl. The best man was Mr. Gary Woodford. The ushers were Mr. Keith Moser and Mr. Wayne Lewis. Junior usher was Master Michael Hastings. Mr. Richard Howell wasthe groomsman. The groom and hisgentlemen wore gray tuxedos.

The bride wore a white silk beaded and sequined gown with a cathedral trainaccented with rosettes.

Amanda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Koepp of Greensboro, N.C. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a major in Marketing Education, and isemployed by First Union Corp. ofVirginia. Rob is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Gerald F. Robinson of Blacksburg, Va. He majored in Business Management atVirginia Tech and is employed by The Z Doctor of Roanoke.

The newlyweds will live in theirrecently purchased home in Southwest Roanoke following a wedding trip to the Bahamas.
