Jennifer Elaine Davis and L. William Shirey were married May 15, 1993, in
Presbyterian Church of Radford, with the Rev. George L. Ducker officiating.
The reception was held in the Norwood Room. The matron of honor was Mrs.
Jeannie W. Davis, sister-in-law of the bride. The bridesmaids were Miss Tonya
Shirey, sister of the groom; Mrs. Sharon Davis, sister-in-law of the bride;
and Mrs. Betsy Rousseau, friend of the bride. Flowergirl was Miss Caitlin
Davis, niece of the bride. The best man was F. Philip Parker, friend of the
groom. The ushers were Dr. George E. Davis, III, brother of the bride; Mr.
Robert Davis, brother of the bride; and Mr. O.W. Smith, III, friend of the
groom. Special reading was by David Martin. Director of the wedding was Mrs.
Cynthia Quellette. The guestbook was attended by Mrs. Susan Luther. The bride
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George E. Davis, Jr., of Radford. She
graduated from Radford High school and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and
State University. She is employed by James River Corp. The groom is the son of
Mrs. D. Faye Darst of New Bern, N.C., and Mr. William L. Shirey of King
William. He graduated from Midlothian High School; James Madison University;
and VCU. He is employed by Foster and Miller, P.C. The newlyweds will live in
Richmond, after the wedding trip to St. Lucia.
