BASEBALL-LIBERTY MAKES CONFERENCE FINAL

All-conference pitcher Rich Humphrey of Liberty retired the final two University of Maryland-Baltimore County batters in the bottom of the ninth to preserve a 13-12 victory for the Flames in the Big South Conference Tournament at Conway, S.C.

The win put Liberty into the championship game against Radford late Saturday evening.

Maryland-Baltimore County earned the chance to face Liberty by defeating Winthrop 13-2 Saturday.
