OBIT TAYLOR, GLADYS BLACKWELL
TAYLOR, Gladys Blackwell, 80, of Rocky Mount, died Sunday, May 16, 1993, in
Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Oscar Homer Taylor and was
born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late George and Mattie Blackwell.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Erie Holcomb and Addie Mulkey;
and two brothers, John Blackwell and George Blackwell. She was director of
Food Services at Ferrum College for 23 years. Surviving are her daughter and
son-in-law, Ruby Lee and Wesley Boles; several nieces and nephews. Graveside
services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Family Cemetery at
Sydnorsville with the Rev. William Dawson officiating. Friends may call at
Lynch Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Monday where the family will be from 7 to 9
p.m.
