OBIT PORTERFIELD, ZETTIE SONGER

PORTERFIELD, Zettie Songer, 85, of Newport, died last week at her home. She is survived by her sons, Wendell Porterfield, Newport, and Emmitt C. Porterfield, Powhatan; two sisters; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel, Pembroke. Burial will be in Newport Cemetery, Newport, Va. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sherry Memorial Christian Church CWF.
