LAWYERS PLAN ECONOMY FORUM

The Young Lawyers Section of The Virginia Bar Association will hold "A Forum for Economic Development in Southwest Virginia: 1993 and Beyond" at 7 p.m. Monday in the Grand Ballroom of the Radisson Patrick Henry Hotel in downtown Roanoke.

The program, one in a series of Roanoke Town Meetings sponsored by the group, will be aired on WVTF-FM 89.1, a public radio station based in Roanoke.

The panel members include U.S. Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Roanoke;r John Stroud, president of the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce; Tom Robertson, president of Carilion Health System and chairman of the Roanoke Valley Business Council; Beth Doughty, executive director of the Roanoke Valley Economic Development Partnership; Roanoke Mayor David Bowers; state Sen. Brandon Bell; and Cathleen Magennis, Virginia's director of Economic Development. The panel will answer questions from both the live and listening audience.

Fred Echols, WVTF-FM reporter and anchor, will moderate the program.
