OBIT BROOKS, STANLEY WILLIAM

BROOKS, Stanley William, 22, of Elm Avenue, Roanoke, died Sunday, May 16, 1993, in an automobile accident. He was of the Baptist faith and a self employed painter. Surviving are his father, Claude William Brooks, Roanoke; mother, Joyce Brooks, Lady Lake, Fla.; son, Jonathan Christopher Brooks, Roanoke; paternal grandmother, Mary L. Brooks, Roanoke; maternal grandparents, Stanley and Rachel Shiplett, Lady Lake, Fla.; two half brothers, Jonathan Daley and Joseph Daley, both of Lady Lake, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Theresa Ferguson, Salem, and Claudia Rachelle Bosewell, Roanoke; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; also surviving is his fiancee, Donna Bennett, Roanoke. Huff-Cook Funeral Home of Castlewood and St. Paul is in charge of arrangements. Funeral services for Stanley William Brooks will be held Wednesday, 3 p.m. at Trammel Baptist Church in Trammel, Va. The Rev. Paul Fields will officiate. The body will be taken to the church Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. where the family will receive friends. Burial will be in the Kiser-Brooks Cemetery on Hazel Mountain, Va.
