TURMAN, Freeman Hylton, 80, of Willis, passed away Sunday, May 16, 1993, in a Galax Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Ida Lee Goad Turman, Willis; one son & daughter-in-law, Michael E. and Julia Turman, Cheney, Wash.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Joanna and Charles Stephens, Tarboro, N.C., Virginia Ann and Brant Frix, Forest Park, Ga., Donna Dee and Ricky Moles, Jonesboro, Ga., Pamela Sue Webb, Willis; three brothers, Alvin Turman, Willis, Tepee Turman, Bahama, N.C., J. D. Turman, Hillsville; three sisters, Marie Epperly, Goodview, Blanche Marshall, June Staples, Willis; grandchildren, Cynthia, Charles and Janey Stephens, Denise, Collette and Steve Frix, Rosetta and Amanda Webb, Meghan Turman, Shanna Moles; great-grandchildren, Zac Stephens, Nicholas Frix. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with Rev. S. G. Bolt officiating. Burial will be in the Slusher Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
