OBIT HURT, ELEANOR R.
HURT, Eleanor R. 77, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, May 17, 1993 in a
local nursing home after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her
husband, William Earl Hurt. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church,
Salem. She is survived by two sons, H. Wayne Hurt of Lubbock, Texas, W. Rhea
Hurt and wife, Arlene of Roanoke; one daughter, Earline Hurt Perry of Newark,
Del. She was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren. Survivors also include three sisters, Mrs. Texie Parsons
of Pennington Gap, Mrs. Blanch Livesay of Jonesville, Mrs. Savannah Delph of
Mooresburg, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be
conducted by Provinces Funeral Home of Pennington Gap, Va. The family will
receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Provinces Chapel Wednesday, May 19, 1993.
Services will follow. Burial will be in Millers Chapel Cemetery 10 a.m.
Thursday, May 20, 1993.
