OBIT WRAY, JOHN ELLWOOD
WRAY, John Ellwood, 80, of Route 1, Rocky Mount, died Tuesday, May 18,
1993, in a Roanoke hospital. He was a retired farmer, and a member of
Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren. Surviving are his wife, Violet Sink
Wray; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ronald W. Hale; one son and
daughter-in-law, David E. and Kathy Wray, all of Rocky Mount; two
granddaughters, Crystal L. Wray and Monica M. Wray; two grandsons, Bryan W.
Wray, Duane W. Hale; one brother, Ward Wray, Boones Mill; two sisters, Rachel
(Tootie) Peters, Boones Mill, Dorothy Fisher, Roanoke. Funeral services will
be conducted at Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren, 2 p.m. Thursday, with
Rev. Fred A. Driver and Rev. Kermit P. Flora officiating. Interment will
follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9
p.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service, 342 South Main St., Rocky Mount.
