OBIT RULEY, EVA VANCE
RULEY, Eva Vance, 81, of Lexington, died Tuesday, May 18, 1993, in the
Shenandoah Valley Health Care Center, Buena Vista, Va. Mrs. Ruley was born
September 10, 1911, in Bath County, a daughter of the late George Vance and
Melvina Richmond Vance and was the widow of Samuel G. Ruley. She was a member
of the Ebenezer A.R.P. Church and the Loving Rebakah Lodge #74. Surviving are
one daughter, Patricia A. Bury, Lexington, Va.; one sister, Stella May, Hot
Springs, Va.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services
will be conducted from the graveside, 11 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 1993, in the
Rockbridge Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Robert K. Wilson officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ebenezer A.R.P. Church or the Lexington
First Aid Crew. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Wednesday
at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
