OBIT WOODS, WILLIAM

WOODS, William, ("Bill"), of Virginia Beach, passed away Saturday, May 15, 1993, after a long illness. Mr. Woods taught school in the Chesapeake, Va. school system for 29 years. He was a graduate of Lucy Addison High School Class of 1950, and Arkansas AM & N State College; a veteran in the U.S. Army, having served in Korea. He is survived by his wife, Eunice G. Woods; one daughter, Shelia Woods, both of Virginia Beach; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Lynwood Welcher and wife, Rita; Terry Welcher, all of Roanoke; one sister and brother-in-law, Frances Hurt and husband, Willie; one aunt, Eleanora Stewart; one uncle, Alexander Welcher and wife, Gladys, all of Roanoke; a host of other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 20, 1993, 12:30 p.m., at the Banks Street Memorial Baptist Church, Norfolk, Va. Arrangements by Pretlo & Sons Funeral Home, 500 Liberty Street, Chesapeake, Va.
