ETC. WSLS NAMES POTTER NEW SPORTS REPORTER

Tyler Potter, who has spent the last year as a news videographer and backup sports anchor at Charlottesville's WVIR, is the new sports reporter for WSLS (Channel 10). Potter, 25, a Southport, Conn., native and 1990 Virginia Tech graduate, begins work at the Roanoke TV station on May 31. Channel 10 news director Bill Foy said Potter will work primarily in reporting, but also will have some anchor work on weekend newscasts.

Roanokers Arman Fletcher and J.D. Sisson finished at 145 and in tenth place at the VSGA Senior-Four Ball tournament held at Shannon Green golf club in Fredericksburg. Bob Moyers of New market and Jim Kite of Wolftown won the event for the third straight year with two rounds of 67 for a 134 total.
