WILL WE CLOSE EYES TO OTHER CULTS?

DAVID Koresh was capable of delivering much pain upon society, and if this was his means to an end, I have no guilt or responsibility for his actions nor should anyone else. He was a madman and a maniac.

The only ones guiltless were the children who were brainwashed into believing him to be Jesus Christ. Our society really needs to strengthen its values concerning its children. We cannot continue to use them as pawns of society. We are blinded by fundamentalists, right and left, but we are not blameless.

There are reportedly 2,400 of these cults and sects currently flourishing in the United States today. I sincerely hope the next time we are not all without vision. JUNE A. THOMPSON BUCHANAN
