MANY FAMILIES FACING GAY ISSUE

REGARDING Richard J. Akers' April 25 letter ("Comic strip took wrong turn") and all others written along the same theme:

Akers said that the author of this strip ["For Better Or For Worse"] and the editor of this newspaper "took a left turn into the unnatural lane of life in our world." I don't know what world he lives in, but I suggest that he open his eyes. Homosexuality is a topic many families are dealing with today. Lynn Johnston is presenting the situation with care and tolerance, something we could all show more often.
