OBIT MOORE, BESSIE OLA

MOORE, Bessie Ola, 78, of 224 Post Rd. N.W., passed away May 18, 1993, at her home. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church and was the widow of Samuel Moore. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Jean M. and Edward Stritesky of Roanoke; Barbara M. and Larry R. Clark of Goodview, Susie M. and Dean Strong of Catawba; sons and daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Carolyn Moore, of Terrehaute, Ind., Charles E. Moore and wife, Pam of Catawba, James A. Moore and wife, Charlotte of Roanoke; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Robert L. Fisher and wife, Loney of Salem, Charles E. Fisher and wife, Rachel of Clearwater, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Eunice L. Sprinkle of Buchanan. Funeral services will be conducted from the First Wesleyan Church 1 p.m Friday, May 21, with the Rev. James Harrison and the Rev. Steve Wingfield officiating. Burial will be in Peters Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Steve Wingfield Ministries, P.O. Box 1464, Harrisonburg, Va. 22801. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
