Second-seeded Grayson County (10-6) advanced to Tuesday's semifinals at Calfee Park in Pulaski, where the Blue Devils will meet Fort Chiswell, a 5-2 winner over Shawsville.
The other semifinal will pit top-seeded Giles, a 17-2 winner over visiting Auburn, against Floyd, which won 14-3 at Narrows. The Buffaloes took advantage of 10 Narrows errors and got a complete game from senior Mike Hill, who notched his sixth victory in seven decisions.
Glenn Stowers had three hits and three runs batted in to lead Giles (11-5), which also got three RBI apiece from Patrick Steele and Shannon Pyles. Mitch Reed was the winner, running his record to 4-0.
Junior Bobby Cheeks (4-2) went the first four innings for Grayson County before yielding to yielding to freshman Chad Shaffner for the final innings. Shaffner, who started the game in left field, also had four runs batted in.
Brad Lundy's first-inning single was the only hit for Galax, which dropped to 5-8.
Senior B.W. Hill pitched a complete-game six-hitter for Fort Chiswell (10-4) and helped his cause with a three-run home run in the first inning. Hill struck out eight.

At Glenvar, sophomore Jake Weddle had a memorable first start, pitching a perfect game for Glenvar in the Highlanders' 10-0 victory over Highland in the first game of a doubleheader. Classmate Matt Woolwine, who was promoted with Weddle from the junior varsity, tossed a one-hitter as Glenvar beat Highland 7-0 in the second game. Weddle had 12 strikeouts in five innings and Woolwine had struck out eight.
At Stuart, Tunstall made the most of its five hits to defeat Patrick County 10-0 and finish the regular season with an 18-0 record. Tunstall's Bubba Scarce had a no-hitter until Doug Martin of Patrick County (9-8) singled with two outs in the fifth. Jeremy Dallas and Eric Lovern had home runs for Tunstall.
At Wytheville, junior Jason Otey tossed a four-hitter to improve his record to 4-2 and the Maroons (8-10) got two hits each from juniors Brian Repass and Randy Blevins in an 11-1 victory over Radford. Blevins had two RBI.
At Buchanan, junior right-hander Chico Tolley tossed a three-hitter as James River blanked Craig County 6-0 in Pioneer District action.
At Collinsville, Jimmy Cox drove in three runs and Todd Pringle went 2-for-4 as Fieldale-Collinsville finished the regular season 15-2-1 and tightened its hold on second place going into the Piedmont District tournament. Hugo Hughes had a home run for Magna Vista (9-9).
At Lexington, first baseman Donnie Meador went 4-for-6, with two home runs and four runs batted in as Lord Botetourt (10-7) took a doubleheader from Rockbridge County 2-1 and 6-3. The Wildcats fell to 8-9.
\ BOYS' TENNIS: At Ridgeway, Martinsville won the Piedmont District boys' team tennis championship with a 5-4 decision over Fieldale-Collinsville on Wednesday. The individual doubles title went to the Cavaliers' Stuart Cox and Brad Tilley, who defeated Mark Jones and Mike Weaver of Bassett 6-1, 6-3. All winners and runners-up advance to the Region III tournament beginning Friday in Ridgeway.
\ GIRLS' TENNIS: Rockbridge County and Rustburg advanced in the Region III tournament in Salem. The Wildcats defeated Salem 5-4 and Rustburg beat Martinsville 6-3 in team competition. The winners meet for the championship today at Salem High School at 9 a.m. In individual play, Jill Archer of Salem and Karen Borchert of Rustburg won singles matches. Archer defeated Tina Castillo of Patrick County 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 and Borchert dispatched Erin Fox of Rockbridge County 6-0, 6-2. The singles final is today at 1 p.m. In doubles, Archer and Ashley McCrary defeated Amy Clark and Angie Eggleston of Fieldale-Collinsville 6-2, 6-0 to advance to the final against Kersten Cardwell and Rhonda Lee of Rustburg, who beat Fox and Mary Cecil of Rockbridge County 6-2, 6-2. The doubles final is today at 3 p.m.

\ SOCCER: At Martinsville, Bassett and Martinsville advanced to the Piedmont District soccer championship with semifinal victories Wednesday. Bassett defeated Laurel Park in a shootout and Martinsville topped Fieldale-Collinsville 11-0. The Bengals and Bulldogs will meet for the title today at 7 p.m.
