OBIT BOYD, THOMAS L. SR.

BOYD, Thomas L. Sr., 76, of 1605 Orange Ave., N.W., Roanoke, died May 19, 1993. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Etheleen (Norman) Gravely, Columbus, Ohio, Clara (James) Price, Roanoke, and Loretta Williams, Roanoke; seven sons, Thomas L. (Sylvia) Boyd Jr., Wilbert H. Boyd, Frank (Barbara) Boyd, Ralph L. Boyd, Eugene Boyd, Michael Boyd, and Calvin L. Boyd, all of Roanoke; one sister, Mrs. Virginia Scott, Roanoke; 25 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Macedonia Baptist Church. The Rev. Wallace A. Saunders will officiate. Burial will be in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Fizer Funeral Home.
