OBIT RUCKER, LAHMA VIRGINIA PRICE
RUCKER, Lahma Virginia Price, 79, of Salem, died Thursday, May 20, 1993, in
a local nursing home. She was a native of Montgomery County and lived in Salem
most of her life. She was a housewife and a member of Ft. Lewis Baptist Church
and also a member of Salem Diner's Club. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Addison Clay Rucker Sr. Survivors include two sons and
daughters-in-law, Harold L. and Cora Lee Rucker of Vinton, and Addison C. and
Janice Burnop Rucker of Salem; a brother, Vance Price of Blacksburg; sister,
Edie Hughes, Blacksburg; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral
services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel,
Salem, by the Rev. Leonard L. Southern. Burial will follow in Evergreen
Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from 7 to 9.
