OBIT CROOK, WILLIAM A.
CROOK, William A., 62, of Moneta, died Thursday morning, May 20, 1993, in a
Salem hospital. He was a son of the late Claude R. and Nannie Shaon Crook. Mr.
Crook was a member of the Franklin Heights Baptist Church, the Franklin County
Merchants and Business Men Association and was a veteran of the Korean war.
Surviving are his wife, June Hodges Crook, Moneta; goddaughter, Sherrie Nicole
Agee, Rocky Mount; her parents, Ronald and Patricia Agee, and Billy Joe Agee,
all of Rocky Mount; four sisters, Alma C. Hale, Springfield, Va., Virginia
Wade, Pearisburg, Va., Mary C. Saul, Danville, Martha C. Lovell, Collinsville;
one brother, O. W. Crook, Rocky Mount; sister-in-law, Virginia P. Crook,
Ferrum; special sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Beatrice Duncan of
Columbus, Ga., Nell Mitchell, Eufaula, Fla., Shirley and Terry Law, and their
children of Rocky Mount, Jack and Pat Hodges, Hurt, Buford and Dot Hodges,
Roanoke, Joe E. Hodges, Pulaski, Earl C. Plyler, Moneta; special nephew,
Derrick Plyler, and family of Wirtz; and a special friend, Danny Hall. Funeral
services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Flora Funeral Chapel with
eulogies by his friends. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The
family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday at Flora Funeral
Service, 342 S. Main St., Rocky Mount.
