OBIT GARRETSON, ELIZABETH (BETTY) W.

GARRETSON, Elizabeth (Betty) W. 80, of Roanoke, died Thursday, May 20, 1993. She was a graduate of American University and attended Yale School of Drama. She attained her masters degree in theatre from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Garretson taught speech and drama at Roanoke College and was one of the founding members of Showtimers. She ran a travel consulting business, Inner-Britain, and was an active member of First Church of Christ, Scientist. Surviving is her husband, George D. Garretson, retired Roanoke County Librarian and many devoted friends. A memorial visitation will be at Oakey's South Chapel from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 22, 1993. In lieu of flowers, tell someone you love them.
