OBIT COOPER, CELIA LANG

COOPER, Celia Lang, 89, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, May 20, 1993, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mrs. Cooper was born in Montgomery County on August 15, 1903 to the late Wiley and Maggie Bailey Lang. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isreal C. Cooper and a son, Carl J. Cooper. Surviving are two daughters, Virginia Parente and Dorreace Quesenberry, both of Blacksburg; one son, Clearece Cooper, Blacksburg; two granddaughters; nine grandsons; nineteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 23, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Tincher officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
