LINKOUS, Kitty Evelyn, 79, of High Top Road, Blacksburg, died Friday, May
21, 1993, in Montgomery Regional Hospital. The widow of Richard J. Linkous,
she was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Grace Southern, Alice
Wright, Ruby Pearl Linkous, Bob Lawson, Bill Lawson, Bus Lawson and Nick
Lawson. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, William L. and Juanita
Linkous, Christiansburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy L. and Harry Wright,
Pulaski, Linda L. Sweeney, Lois L. and Malcum Woolwine, Peggy L. Wells, all of
Blacksburg; sisters, Marcell Carnwell, Front Royal, Va., Loretta Woodring,
Blacksburg, Elizabeth Thomas, Slidell, La., Dorothy Lucas, Pulaski; a brother,
Frederick Lawson, Blacksburg; sister-in-law, Nancy Cooper, Phoenix, Ariz.;
brother-in-law, Jack Cooper, Phoenix, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren; 25
great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; special friends, Kathy Bennett,
Pearl Nightingale, Erskine Wells and Hospice Workers. Funeral services will be
1 p.m. Monday, May 24, from the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church,
conducted by the Rev. Jerry Sloss, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Sunday at
the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.
