NAMES & CHANGES

Central Fidelity promotes regional vice president

S. CABELL DUDLEY JR. of Roanoke has been promoted to executive vice president for the Southwestern region of Central Fidelity Bank. An employee since 1968, he is in charge of the corporate banking division for the region. Previously, he worked as senior vice president of the bank's regional loan support division.

A graduate of Roanoke College, he serves on the Smith Mountain Lake 4-H Board and the Longwood College Foundation Board.

\ ELIZABETH FARY has joined The Maddox Agency as an account services supervisor. She was previously production coordinator and assistant media director for Lyons Marketing and Communications in Wilmington, Del.

AGRICULTURE

\ CHARLES W. PRATT of Atkins has been named a livestock marketing and sales representative with the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Based in the Abingdon office, he will implement a regional marketing plan which promotes agricultural economic development and enhances marketing opportunities for producers and businesses involved in animal agriculture.

COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES

\ REGINALD SHAREEF has been promoted from assistant to associate professor of political science at Radford University. An employee for three years, he teaches courses in public management and public policy. He holds a doctorate in public administration and policy from Virginia Tech.

\ SHARON HUFFMAN and BRENDA WELCH have been named admissions representatives at National Business College. Both will be responsible for helping new students, attending career fairs and providing information about the school's career-related programs. Huffman formerly worked with Blue Ridge Beverage Corp. and Canterbury Distributors. Welch previously worked with Pike Three Corp. of Chester and Radford University.

COMMUNICATIONS

\ DAN NICHOLS has been appointed senior project manager of the national sales and service division of AT&T Global Business Communications Systems in Roanoke. He will manage the implementation of complex communications systems for the western area of Virginia.

INSURANCE

\ PHILIP J. ALTIZER SR., agency manager of Allstate Insurance Co. in Roanoke, has been designated a Certified Insurance Counselor by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.

MANUFACTURING

\ GEORGE CHOCKLETT has been named an area sales manager for Georgia Bonded Fibers in Buena Vista. He will cover Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania. He received a bachelor of science degree from Madison College and a master of business administration degree from the graduate school of business administration at James Madison University.

\ JAY BONDURANT has been named general manager of The Bedford Bulletin, a weekly newspaper owned by Landmark Community Newspapers in Shelbyville, Ky. He formerly worked as circulation manager of The News-Enterprise in Elizabethtown, Ky., one of LCNI's four daily newspapers.
