BANE-MORCOS

Trey Bane, of Christiansburg, wed Amal E. Morcos on Saturday, March 20, at Trinity Baptist Church in New York City. Mr. Bane is a graduate student at the Psychological Studies Institute of Atlanta, Georgia, where he is pursuing a Masters degree in Community Counseling. Ms. Morcos was the Acting Director ofCommunications at the United NegroCollege Fund.

Mr. Bane is the son of Howard and Coleen Bane. Trey Bane attended Christiansburg High School and graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He taught English in Kenya through the United States Peace Corps and later at a public high school in North Carolina. He met Ms. Marcos while working in publishing in New York City.

Ms. Marcos is the daughter of Dr.Abdelmalak and Soad Morcos, originally of Cairo, Egypt, and now residing in West Orange, New Jersey. Ms. Marcos graduated from Syracuse University with aBachelor of Science in Journalism and English. Before joining the United Negro College Fund, she was a freelancereporter with Time-Life Magazines and CNN.

The couple were wed by the Reverend Keith Boyd in an afternoon ceremony. The reception was held at the Barbizon Hotel where guests were entertained by a jazz band.

The couple are now residing inSmyrna, Georgia.
