BARNETT-HELMS

Alicia Kay Helms and Donald Eugene Barnett were united in marriage on May 22, 1993 in Rockingham Court United Methodist Church with Rev. Frederick Clemens officiating. The reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

Robin Mills, friend of the bride, was the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Jami-Lynn Helms, sister of the bride; Tammie Tran, aunt of the bride; and Belinda Dowell, friend of the bride. The flowergirls were Amanada Helms, daughter of the bride; and KatlinSemones, niece of the groom. Patrick Loop, friend of the groom, was the best man. The ushers were Spencer Mills, Wayne Kelley, and Dean Lugar, friendsof the groom. Marshall Barnett, sonof the groom, was the ringbearer. The candlelighter was Dean Lugar. Missy Helms, cousin of the bride, was theguestbook attendant.

Alicia is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. "Chuck" Helms of Roanoke. She is a graduate of William Byrd High School. Donald is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy O. Barnett of Roanoke. He is a graduateof William Fleming High School andVirginia Western Community College, and is employed by I.T.T.

After a short wedding trip, thenewlyweds will live in Roanoke County.
