EDMONDSON-PARRISH
Michelle Ann Parrish and Sgt. Christopher James Edmondson were married in a
military service Saturday, May 22, 1993, at Airlee Court Baptist Church. Rev.
Gene Burris officiated and a reception followed in the chuch social hall.
Sherri Umberger, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and the flowergirl
was Angel Stewart, cousin of the bride. The best man was Michael Gilley,
friend of the groom, and Corey Umberger, nephew of the bride, was the
ringbearer. The ushers/Marine Swordsmen were GSgt. Mays, Cpl. Dan Stallard,
Cpl. Barry Meeks, SSgt. Chris Atkins, LCpl. Kevin Halpin, LCpl. Jeff Lee, and
Cpl. Bill Engle.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis W. Parrish of Roanoke. She is
a graduate of Northside High School and Roanoke College and is employed by
First Union Mortgage Corp. The groom is the son of Brenda Edmondson of Salem.
He is a graduate of Northside High School and attended Virginia Western. He is
employed by Roanoke City.
After a honeymoon in Paradise Island, Bahamas, the couple will make their
home in Roanoke.
