MCGUIRE-PURVIS

Stephany Gay Purvis and Eric Martin McGuire were married May 22, 1993, in Heritage United Methodist Church, Lynchburg, Va., with Donald E. Carlton officiating. The reception was held at Oakwood Country Club. The maid of honor was Kristin Leigh Purvis, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Leah Nicole Purvis, sister of the bride, Geni Irene Hawkins, Regina Davis Jones, and Karen Paige Hunt. Flowergirl was Lauren Brookes Batchelor, cousin of the bride. The best man was Mr. Richard N. McGuire, father of the groom. The ushers were Gregory A. McGuire, brother of the groom; Darrell G. Hale, Brian A. Thomas, and Billy J. Cain. The bride is thedaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel G.Purvis, Jr. of Lynchburg. She attended James Madison University, and isemployed as a Consultant for Leggett. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard N. McGuire of Christiansburg and Galax. He is a graduate of New River Community College and is employed as an Assistant Division Manager for Leggett. The newlyweds will live in Lynchburg, after the wedding trip to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
