ROE-SHAFFNER

Kimberly Page Shaffner and Thomas William Roe, Jr. were united in marriage at Noon, Saturday, May 22, 1993. The ceremony was performed at Virginia Heights Baptist Church by Dr. Daniel Scott.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Noel Shaffner of Salem. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin gown with a beaded pearl bodice. She carried a spray of ivory calla lilies. The bride is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and is employed by the Pillsbury Company.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas William Roe of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and earned a law degree from Ohio Northern College of Law in Ada, Ohio. The groom is a partner in the law firm of Carter, Roe, Emick and Roe in Fincastle.

Melissa Hope Shaffner, sister of the bride, of Schaumburg, Illinois was maid of honor. Bridal attendants were Mrs. Betty Bennett of Roanoke, Miss Kelly Maxey of Fort Wright, Kentucky, Dr. Holly Johnson of Cumberland and Mrs. Dolly Shaffner, sister-in-law of the bride, of Richmond. Miss Katherine Noel Morris, daughter of Doctors John and Peggy Morris of Asheville, North Carolina, was the flower girl.

Mr. Robert Bennett of Roanoke was the groom's best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Jeffrey Nichols of Roanoke, Mr. Chris Keaton of Vinton, Mr. Brad Bailey of Lighthouse Point, Florida, Mr. Sam Novello of Chevy Chase, Maryland and Mr. Scott Shaffner, brother of the bride, of Richmond.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at Hunting Hills Country Club. After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will make their home in Roanoke.
