FUNDS EXPECTED FOR 2 OF 9 ROAD PRIORITIES

Pulaski County has nine road projects on its priority list for 1993-94, but funds are likely to be available for only the first two during that time.

The first project would be reconstruction of 1.28 miles of Robinson Tract Road (Virginia 738) from Virginia 646 to Virginia 641, at a cost of $804,800.

Next would be grading, drainage and stabilizing a half-mile of Hurston Road (Virginia 644), from Forest Road 47 to Virginia 787 for $221,000.

The projects were listed at the annual secondary-road priorities public hearing at the Board of Supervisors meeting Monday night.

The remaining projects are:

Grading, drainage and stabilizing a half-mile of Jennings Road (Virginia 788) from Virginia 644 to the end of state maintenance, $279,000;

Grading, drainage and stabilizing 1 1/2 miles of Morgan Farm Road (Virginia 625) from Virginia 624 to 627, $395,700;

Grading, draO inage and stabilizing 1.77 miles of Lowes Ferry Road

(Virginia 697) from Virginia 611 to end of state maintainance, $756,000;

Reconstructing Thornspring Road (Virginia 639) for 1.4 miles from Virginia 636 to 643, $1,085,000;

Grading, drainage and stabilizing 1.2 miles of Channel Road (Virginia 656) from Virginia 693 to end of state maintenance, $403,000;

Replacing a structure over Neck Creek on Highland Road (Virginia 627), $554,000;

Grading, drainage and stabilizing 0.7 of a mile of Mines Road (Virginia 711) from 1.4 miles north of Virginia 738 to 2.1 miles north of Virginia 738, $233,000.
