NRCC'S SUMMER SESSION STARTS TODAY

If you need to brush up on your algebra, New River Community College has a self-paced refresher course. "Algebra Revisited" starts today, the summer session's first day.

The class, MTH 05-01, is designed for students who have completed two years of high school algebra but need a review. The three-credit, 10-week refresher is computer-based; it meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, noon-1:15 p.m. Call 674-3611.

The college also will offer "Beginning WordPerfect 5.1" during the summer. It starts today and meets Monday and Wednesday evenings, 5:30-9:30, through June 9; call 674-3607.

"Microcomputer Applications in Business" is offered at the Dublin campus and at Blacksburg's Plaza One Center, covering such software basics as WordPerfect 5.1, dBase IV Plus, and Lotus 1-2-3. Course sections meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, noon-3:30 p.m. or 5:30-9 p.m. in Dublin. A single section is offered Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30-9 p.m., at Plaza One Center. For Dublin classes, call 674-3613; for Blacksburg, call 552-6651.

Tuesday is the last day to add or drop summer session classes.
