IVANHOE GETTING VISIT FROM STATE OFFICIALS

State officials from Richmond will call on the Ivanhoe Civic League at 4 p.m. today in this community on the Wythe-Carroll county border.

The visitors are to include Virginia Secretary of Economic Development Cathleen Magennis, Secretary of Education James Dyke, Secretary of Natural Resources Elizabeth Haskell, Department of Housing and Community Development Executive Director Neil Barber and Department of Conservation and Recreation Parks Division Director Dennis Baker.

They will tour Ivanhoe's Jubilee Park, see rehabilitated homes, meet with the league staff and Ivanhoe Youth Council, and have dinner before leaving at 7 p.m. - Southwest bureau
