OBIT-BROWN, SUSIE LAYMAN

BROWN, Susie Layman, 89, of Troutville, died on Tuesday, May 25, 1993. She was a member of the Troutville Church of the Brethren. She is survived by her husband, H. Trent Brown Sr. of Lexington; one daughter and son-in-law, Gwendolyn S. and Bill Graham of Roanoke; three stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Wanda B. and James Kirby of Lexington, Eva B. and Les Hooley of New Paris, Ind., Ora B. and Haven Nicely of Lexington; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Hylas T. and Barbara Brown Jr. of Rocky Mount; one sister, Velma L. Rader of Troutville; ten stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 27, 11 a.m. at the Troutville Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Peter J. Leddy Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Troutville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rader Funeral Home, Troutville. Those wishing to make donations, please consider the Troutville Church of the Brethren.
