OTEY, James Edward, 17, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, May 24, 1993. Survivors include his mother, Martha Otey Whittington; stepfather, William Whittington Jr.; fiance, Tawanda Terry; daughter, Tionta Terry; five brothers, Rev. Larry Manns, Herbert A. Otey Jr., Steven B. Parker, all of Roanoke, Ronald Wayne Otey, Fort Drum, N.Y., Charles Robert Otey, Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Faye D. Barber and Pauline Y. Kouame, both of Atlanta, Ga., Lottie E. Otey, Roanoke; godmother, Myrtle Haynes, Roanoke; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends. Arrangements by Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
