JOSEPH ROSENBAUM, BUSINESSMAN, DIES

Joseph L. Rosenbaum, chairman and chief executive officer of Richmond-based Roanoke Engineering Sales Inc., died Tuesday. He was 64.

Rosenbaum, a native of Roanoke, joined the then Roanoke-based company in 1951, the same year he graduated from Virginia Tech. The firm represented companies which manufactured building materials for commercial construction in Virginia and elsewhere in the Southeast.

He was promoted to branch manager of the company's Richmond office in 1955. He lived in Henrico County at the time of his death, which was due to complications of diabetes.

A memorial service will be held today at 1 p.m. at Temple Beth Ahabah in Richmond.
