BISHOP, Wetta Virginia, 87, formerly of 912 Jamison Ave. S.E., Roanoke,
died Wednesday, May 26, 1993, at Raleigh Court Health Care Center, Roanoke.
She is survived by a devoted sister-in-law, Elizabeth W. Bishop; one sister,
Mrs. Mary (A.O.) Etter; one brother-in-law, A.O. Etter; three nieces, Miss
Penny E. Bishop, Mrs. Susan Bishop Gilsdorf, Mrs. Betty (F.A.) Ferguson; two
nephews, Donald C. and Richard M. Weeks, and their wives, Jeanette and
Patricia Weeks; several great and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was
retired from Riverside Cleaners, was a member of Belmont Presbyterian Church,
the Rachel Rebekah Lodge #4, and Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. #484. Funeral
services will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 3 p.m. Friday by the Rev.
Elliott Hipp and the Rev. Henry D. Scoggins. Burial will be in Sherwood
Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
