OBIT POWELL, ARTHUR MAC

POWELL, Arthur Mac 84, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 1993. He was a retired employee of Times World Corp., a member of Lakeland Lodge #190 AF & AM and Webber High Twelve Lodge #282, and was a member of Scottish Rite Bodies. He was predeceased by his wife, Maude L. Powell. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lois P. and Dick Padgett; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald W. and Susan S. Powell, all of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Debra P. Grzanka and Calvin R. Padgett Jr., both of Roanoke, Cindy Mann, Atlanta, Ga., Ronald Wayne Powell Jr., Abingdon, Donald S. Powell, Bristol, Va.; three great-grandchildren; one brother, W. Bruce Powell, Roanoke; one sister, Mrs. Vera McCullen, Reidsville, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel, 1 p.m. Friday, May 28, with the Rev. Paul E. Alwine officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
