OBIT WALTERS, ALMA GILMORE

WALTERS, Alma Gilmore, 80, of Christiansburg, died Wednesday, May 26, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital. She was a member of the Christiansburg Wesleyan Church and was the daughter of the late David and Mabel Gilmore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Walters; one brother, Elbert Gilmore; one sister, Mary Sutphin. She is survived by three sisters, Thelma Custer, Etta Wood and Dora Custer, all of Christiansburg; one brother, Alvie (Pete) Gilmore, Radford; and a special friend, Euginia Lampey. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. David Hurd and Rev. Jim Bayne with burial in the Belmont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
