OBIT WHITMORE, WILLIAM WILSON JR.

WHITMORE, William Wilson Jr., 68, of Natural Bridge, died Thursday, May 27, 1993, at his home. He was born April 12, 1925, in Rockbridge County, a son of Frances Grim Whitmore of Natural Bridge and the late William Wilson Whitmore Sr. Mr. Whitmore was a member, past officer, and current cemetery trustee of the High Bridge Presbyterian Church, past president and member of the Natural Bridge Ruritan Club, former board member of the Central Fidelity Bank of Natural Bridge. He served on the board of trustees for the Rockbridge Farmers Coop. for the last 20 years and operated his farm and Whitmore's Antiques until his death. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, JoAnna Rydingsvard Whitmore; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John Wilson and Terry Whitmore, Natural Bridge, David A. R. Whitmore, Natural Bridge; one sister, Mrs. Eloise W. Kurbjun, Yorktown, Va. Memorial services will be conducted 7 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 1993, at the High Bridge Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Glenn M. Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence at anytime. Memorials may be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948, Lexington, Va. 24450. Arrangements are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
