OBIT LINKOUS, JOHN BERNARD

LINKOUS, John Bernard, ("Buddy"), 71, of Blacksburg, died late Wednesday, May 26, 1993, in Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II and a retired employee of Radford University. Surviving are one sister, Edith Perfater, Blacksburg; one niece, Vera McLeod; two great-nieces, Annette Perry, Carolyn Hanneman, all of Michigan; a great-nephew, Donnie McLeod, Blacksburg; one great-great-nephew, Peter James Perry, Michigan; special friends, Jack Kipps, Paul Linkous, Alex Linkous and Malcum Woolwine. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 29, from the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church conducted by Rev. Jerry Sloss, with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Malcum Woolwine, Alex Linkous, Dallas Linkous, Curtis Linkous, Alfred Cupp, Dale Womack, Gary Kipps, Sam Huff, and Kevin Woolwine.
