LIBERTY ELIMINATED

Mike Sanburn pitched a four-hitter, and Jamie Borel and Steven Pitt drove in two runs each as East Carolina eliminated Liberty from the Atlantic Regional of the NCAA Division I baseball tournament Friday, 6-0.

Sanburn (10-2) struck out eight and walked none.

The Pirates (41-18) scored three runs in the bottom of the first off Kris Morton (6-5). Pat Watkins had an RBI single before Pitt hit a two-run triple for ECU.

Borel had a two-run single in the fourth.
