Perot had been booked on the Friday morning program about a week ago, according to John Bianchi, a spokesman for CBS "This Morning."
But during the week, producers at the program decided to interview former Perot volunteers who have publicly criticized Perot and his organization for being too centralized and unresponsive to grass-roots supporters.
Bianchi said that Sharon Holman, Perot's spokeswoman, called the network late Thursday to protest that airing the segment violated the terms of the original request. "She said Perot felt he was booked to answer the president and not to answer questions about former workers," Bianchi said. - The Washington Post
