OBIT CAMPBELL, RANDY

CAMPBELL, Randy, 54, of Bedford, passed away Thursday, May 27, 1993, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born August 19, 1938 in Bedford County, a son of the late John William Campbell and Myrtle Goodman Campbell. He was preceded in death by a brother, Garland Mitchell Campbell and two grandchildren, Mary Margaret and Dustin Clarence Claytor. He was a retired employee of the Rubatex Corporation and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary Settles Campbell; three daughters, Rhona Campbell Tomblin, Bent Mountain, Bonnie Parker, Thaxton, Connie Claytor, Bedford; one son, Johnny Creasy, Bedford; two granddaughters, Tiffany and Kelly Parker, both of Thaxton; one sister, Frances Bolton, Lynchburg; two brothers, Jesse Campbell, Thaxton, Paul Campbell, Bedford. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 30, 1993, at 3 p.m. from the Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Ray Lyons. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Updike Funeral Home, Bedford.
