OBIT FISHER, RAYMOND LLOYD
FISHER, Raymond Lloyd, 72, of Austinville, died Friday, May 28, 1993, in
the Wythe County Community Hospital. He was a retired chemist with the New
Jersey Zinc Company and a well known orchid grower. He was a member of the
Olive Branch United Methodist Church; a member of the Lead Mines Ruritan Club,
a member of the Ivanhoe Masonic Lodge No. 235, A.F.&A.M., a member of the
American Orchid Society, the Bee Keepers Association, and the Soiree Society.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Marshall Fisher. He is survived
by his wife, Mildred James Fisher; his mother, Clara Manuel Fisher,
Wytheville; one sister, Kathleen Hoback, Bristol, Va.; one brother, Carl
Fisher, Richmond; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services
will be held Sunday, May 30, 1993, at 4 p.m. at the Reese Funeral Chapel with
the Rev. Joe Carrico officiating. Entombment will follow. The famiy will
receive friends at the Reese Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Reese
Funeral Home in Austinville, Va., is in charge of the arrangements.
