OBIT MORAN, MARGARET SPENCE

MORAN, Margaret Spence, 76, of Buena Vista, died May 28, 1993. She was born in Buena Vista, June 12, 1916, the daughter of the late John and Olivia Lanum Spence and the widow of Ernest L. Moran. She was retired from Burlington Mills, Glasgow. Surviving are three daughters, Ernestine M. Hennett, Lexington, Betty Moran Kling, Camden, S.C., Hilda M. Stankewich, Harrison City, Pa.; two sons, Donald Moran, Buena Vista, James M. Moran, Waynesboro; two sisters, Mary Jane Garrett, Richmond, Lucille Armstrong, Christiansburg; one brother, James Spence, Buena Vista; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lomax Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Kenneth Teague and the Rev. Art Brumit. Entombment will follwo in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rockbridge County Hospice.
