OBIT BIGGS, ROBERT ODELL

BIGGS, Robert Odell, 71, of Newport News, died Saturday, May 22, 1993, in Lake Taylor Hospital, Norfolk. He was a native of Roanoke and a peninsula resident for 27 years. He was a retired criminal investigator for the IRS. He was a former member of the Rotary Club, Bristol, Va., former member of Kiwanis Club, Roanoke, former member of Loyal Order of Elks, Roanoke, and a former U.S. Army Air Corps Staff Sgt. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Krehely Biggs, Chesapeake, Va.; three daughters, Nancy B. Knudsen, Laplata, Md., Alice M. Payton, Suffolk, Susanne L. Biggs, Norfolk; one son, Robert T. Biggs, Roanoke; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 1, 1993, 6:30 p.m. in Huntington Park, 1st Pavilion, overlooking the James River, Newport News.
