MONROE-TAYLOR
Priscilla Denise Taylor and JessieWilliam Monroe were married April 17,
1993, at High Street Baptist Church. Dr. Noel C. Taylor performed the
ceremony. The reception was held at the church Fellowship Hall. The matron of
honor was Colette Taylor, of Roanoke, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were
Keisha Taylor, of Dinwiddie, Va., Andretta Hamilton, of Massachusetts, cousins
of the bride, Virginia Brown, of Roanoke, sister of the groom, Deborah Monroe,
of Roanoke, cousin of the groom, and Jessica Monroe, of Roanoke, daughter of
the groom. Flowergirl was Miesha Girty, of Roanoke, niece of the groom. The
best man was Lynnwood Monroe, Sr., of Roanoke, cousin of the groom. Ushers
were Terry Monroe, brother of the groom, Lance Monroe, LaNeal Taylor, Quinton
Twine, cousins of the groom, and Charles Wood, friend of the groom, all of
Roanoke. Ringbearer was Tramere Monroe, of Roanoke, cousin of the groom. The
candlelighters were Terry Moore and Lance Monroe. The guestbook was attended
by Gretchen Preston, of Roanoke, cousin of the bride. The bride wore a white
satin and lace gown. She is the daughter of Mary Sue Taylor, of Boones Mill,
Va. She graduated from Cave Spring High School, attended Virginia Western
Community College, and is employed by First Union Mortgage Corporation. The
groom is the son of Mary Ann Monroe, Roanoke, Va. He graduated from Steilicum
Community College in Tacoma, Washington. He is employed by Cox Cable of
Roanoke. The newlyweds will live in Roanoke.
