OBIT MCGHEE, MARVIN JAMES

McGHEE, Marvin James, 83, of Vinton, died Thursday, May 27, 1993, in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Hicks McGhee. He was a member of the Belmont Baptist Church, and the Berean Bible Class. He was also a member of the SPEBQSA. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jo and Alfred K. Tuck, Stone Mountain, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs. Edith M. Epperly, Roanoke, Mrs. Elsie M. Nelson, Salem; one brother, Carl H. McGhee, Roanoke; also a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Charles Watkins and the Rev. Chris Rakestraw officiating. Interment will be in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
