OBIT SLUSHER, HELEN WARE
SLUSHER, Helen Ware, 77, of Roanoke, died May 22, 1993. She was the widow
of James Monroe Slusher, and was a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs.
Slusher was a member of Electa Chapter, Order of Eastern Star No. 33, also, a
member of Aremes Guild. Survivng is one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia S.
and James S. Stump Jr., Charlotte, N.C.; grandson, James B. Glenn II.
Graveside services will be noon Wednesday, June 2, in Sherwood Memorial Park.
Dr. Harry Y Gamble and the Rev. John D. Cochran will officiate. Friends may
call at Oakey's South Chapel after 10 a.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to
the Roanoke City Rescue Mission or the American Cancer Society.
